The last of the big carp have been moved out of the Copse Lake at the Nutrabaits Yateley Complex with the capture of Crinkle Tail at 34lb 5oz.

Nick Jones introduces Crinkle Tail
to her new home

Crinkle Tail was netted by Nick Jones last weekend and was moved across the road to the other side of the complex where she swam off strongly into the North Lake to join Bazil and Scale on the Shoulder.

The majority of the large carp in the Copse Lake, including such famous fish as Scaley and the Pretty One, were transferred to the adjoining Match Lake last winter. But, until last weekend, the one big fish which avoided the nets at the time was the big mirror known as Crinkle Tail.

With the last of the big carp moved out, re-development of the Copse Lake will begin in earnest this winter with the aim of creating a top class venue for the pleasure angler. Stocks will include quality tench and crucian carp as well as roach, bream and perch.

With the development of an exciting new carp fishery on the Sandhurst Lake now underway there is an excellent future in store for both carp and pleasure anglers on the eastern side of the Nutrabaits Yateley Complex.
