Leicester angler Peter Marlow fished Peg 12 on Lake C and placed an excellent 43kg 750g on the scales to take the event. Third spot went to another Leicestershire angler, John Hall fishing Peg 5 on Magna Pool. John caught steadily through the day to record 38kg 50g on the method feeder with fish to 6kg on pellets and meat.

In fourth place, and opposite John, was previous Fish ‘O’ Mania Champion Marc Jones on Peg 15. Marc weighed 29kg 250g with his best fish nudging 7kg. He caught mainly shallow on meat. Also pegged on Magna was Hereford angler Dave Roberts who caught 28kg 600g on the pellet waggler.
