In 2004 the Environment Agency are again pleased to promote angling by supporting dozens of fishing events in England and Wales.
There are nearly 4 million existing anglers, but there are also 4 million non-anglers who would like to try the sport, including 21% of 12-16 year-olds! The most common barriers to newcomers are lack of people to fish with, tackle to use, and places to go fishing. To address these barriers, we are inviting non-anglers and beginners of all ages to “have a go” at our sport!
With friendly, fully trained professional angling coaches on hand to give FREE one-to-one tuition, loads of FREE fishing tackle give-aways, and FREE advice on the Golden Rules for responsible anglers, these sessions will give new anglers a fantastic helping hand!
