I can understand why it has been done, but sorry, I think it only causes a further devide amongst anglers.
What happens if somebody disagrees with what somebody else has said? as is what happens now.

Will it be a case of if you don't like it, you can........go away?
I'm not really bothered either way, but good luck to it.
Only my opinion, but I think it is a step in the wrong direction.

Do you think it should just be the one section covering specialist fishing be it carp, bream, tench, barbel or whatever? I would think the threads would dissapear too quickly, it can be difficult to find a thread as it is.

I have allways been a bit iffy about any kind of change.

I hope it works out okay. It will be interesting to see how it goes.
To be fair, the carp only section works prettty well, so their is no real reason this one shouldn't.

I didn't mean to bring it down, I only pointed out the kind of discussion that we have had on barbel on this forum. Or am I missing something?

I get the feeling though that there may be a bit of a anti-barbel fishing backlash gathering pace given the over -prominence the species gets in the angling media.A victim of its popularity perhaps?Anglers who like a different challenge from the norm may start looking elsewhere.

Thats not to take anything away from the fish itself which are wonderful and worthy of the rerspect they get.
