Thinking about getting out next weekend for one final bash for a whiskers and was just wondering how it was fishing?

I've not been out for some months (family etc...) so feel that i have lost touch with the water somewhat.

Was looking to be mobile and fish for 1 hour max in anyone swim before moving on (unless catching of course!)

if the temp's don't fall too much i'd go to beeston purley as i think it would be better suited to a roving approach and should be good for a barbel or two

were abouts is beeston have you got the post code? just want to find out some new places to fish forbarbel once the seasons starts

Beeston marina ,is riverside rd. beeston, notts. NG9 1NA, this is just above the weir, you need to drive over the stone hump back bridge on canal and turn sharp right.

Park at side of canal walk over to other side and you will come to the weir ,anywhere along there is good for a barb or two,watch it though its snaggy!

can you get day tickets for beeston on the bank...... thanks.......

Day tickets are available on the bank but you very rarely see a bailiff so in affect it's free fishing. I'm a member of NAA who run the stretch so pay a year sub'.
