I fished on the EA stretch above The Shakespeare pub a month or so ago. We had planned to fish the Brewery stretch but there just wasn't enough water on the river.
Caught plenty of small chub but no Barbel.
If you get a chance, try one of the pegs by the China Museum. There are 2 or 3 at the far side of the car park. Another place worth trying is across the river upstream at The Half Moon. A couple of decent pegs there which used to produce some nice Barbel. And one more stretch I'd recommend is up in Ironbridge itself. There's a beach peg just upstream and around the corner from the Museum of the Gorge. It's quite shallow close in but very deep across to the far bank. A few years ago I had some lovely Barbel from there.
