I've heard rumors of Barbel in the Wreake (Soar tributary), but it's only rumor. Stu Dexter may be able to confirm.

The Marden, a tributary of the Bristol Avon and the River Ray a tributary of the Upper Thames. Both confirmed from club websites.

How could I miss the Stour! Must have forgotten to type it in.

Thanks for all the answers, keep them coming. Anyone confirm the Evenlode or Test?

Nottinghamshire - River Idle and probably the Rivers Maun Meden and Ryton too.

And in Yorkshire, add the River Rother.

Stour in Kent (i.e the one that is part of Mid Kent Fisheries). They claim to have barbel being caught.

Never heard of the Evenlode holding Barbel and I fished it for many years, but would have thought it holds barbel now, not many Roach in there now either.
