two entirely different enviroments really, if one lake has both, with many have, you need to study each swim type, probably the southern pit lads are the best for advise, I do however have experience on silty waters and over the years I`ve read that much crap on silt, at times ive burried baits in silt and had good results, its all dependant on the stocking types, in hungrey water carp will find and take bait in silt indeed Ive actually hideen baits in silt to get results
