new to spinning

I am going to Cuba and will get a couple of days fishing in. I've been told I should either spin or use prawns to catch bait fish.

After catching the bait fish, I've been told to mount these on large trebles, use a 100llb wire trace and 30lb braid.

I have never fished in this way (normally waggler or pole fisherman in UK) and have no idea how to connect terminal tackle for this type of fishing. Can you help please?

What tools will I need to buy?

As Tommo says....go on to the pred forum mate.......there are some well travelled guys on there......Budgie Burgess springs to mind.
