Ive been getting back into fishing this year after a 10 year absence and ive been fishing the stretch at Durham mainly for salmon and sea trout but im interested in targeting Barbel, any advice on where the best places in and around Durham/Croxdale are to target Barbel?
It's being hammered right now for salmon and sea trout. Lots about. (anglers and fish) 7 poachers (snatchers) arrested recently too! (not before time).
Best to join a local club and avoid this place if you want relaxed and peaceful fishing!
