Daft question. Having never used flourocarbon only mono, I have acquired a few unused spools of sensas flouro hooklength in various bs. All my reels are spooled with mono. Can you mix the two? E.g. 6lb mono mainline and 5lb flouro hooklentgh? Cheers.

Yeaph, that's how i'd use it if I was using fluro....just as a hooklength.

Absolutely mate, yep you can definitely use mono mainline and with fluoro hook lengths,

Incidentally if yer ledgering as I often do when I'm fishing the rivers for big roach, a lot of the time I use very little lead IE 4 AAA = 2 swan shot normally being all that is needed and I sometimes tie a spade hook directly to me 2.5-3 lb mainline,

when fishing like this and stalking many marginal swims along the river bank I often use a light 2.5-3 lb fluoro as me mainline with no problems at all, if anything it's more beneficial because the line is generally less visible and also sinks which is what you'd want
