A pellet waggler is much heavier than an ordinary waggler so the PW rod is generally a stronger rod to cope with floats of 8 to 12grams or more.

I've a 13' Diawa pellet waggler I use it for all my float fishing.
Is it this one? If so the 13 foot version is a 3 piece float rod. Where as the 12,11 and 10 ft ones are 2 piece Pellet Wagglers '' apparently'' which is what my partner didn't realise bless her

Its a great example of why if someone is going to buy tackle for an angler the angler should leave them in no doubt of what they would like, even kids have lists for birthday or xmas :)

Nope mines not that one, just checked it and it just says waggler on it, I always thought it said pellet waggler. Shows how much attention I show! But it fishes well, handles silverfish without being brutal with them, and I've had tench upto 4lb on it and it's handled them brilliantly.

the !0' Daiwa which you have, will show up bites from silvers,
its a great rod for the price, will handle up to 8lb line, not that you will
need it, the action of the rod will handle most fish on lighter line,
I bought one as a raffle prize for a disabled angling match and the person
who won it really sings its praises, had silvers and carp and match sized
barbel on it.

Pellet waggler rods are generally designed for carp fishing on commercials and as such they tend to have a softer through action with the power closer to the butt. ‘Normal’ waggler rods have much of their action nearer the tip, so better casting of light floats and faster on the strike.
