Very deep section of river - What rig for perch?
Hi all
There is a deep slow moving section of river near me that I want to target with live baits for perch. I usually fish paternoster rigs up to around 6-8 feet, however the issue is the depth here is in double figures and so the depth of the rig would often be longer than the rod I'm using to fish it. How can I get around this problem of it being so deep maybe some power gum (slides through rod rings better) as a float stop instead of the usual rubber ones?
Any help appreciated

Do you own a pole? Bomb on bottom. Perch bobber on top. Pike proof hook link of fine wire at variable depth between ledger stops?
