any fish about?

Hi all,

I'm going fishing this weekend and would like some advice on where to go. I haven't fished for a couple of years, and have lost touch of where the good fishing is at!

I'm based in Newcastle, but don't mind driving anywhere in the North East/Northumberland.
Thats course fishing by the way.

I haven't been out, due to a few family things.

But will deffo be out some time over the next few weeks.

This weekend should be promising.

Long cold spell followed by a week of above average temperatures - surely that stir the fish into action of the lakes?

Rivers - can be productive in the coldest of conditions as the fish burn food just holding static in the water against the current.
