Centrepin Arbour

Rate this Entry
How to fit a Centrepin arbour to your Speedia, Seldex etc, so you don,t need to fill the spool with miles of line to achieve the correct depth.
First the material you need is NOT cork, but it is called EVA/DUPLON it is black and fitted to most fishing rod handle's, you can buy this online in flat sheets 6mm thick x 350mm x 230mm and the same in 3mm thick, then all you need to do is to lay the sheet flat and cut a strip or two
to the correct width of the spool using a Stanley knife and a strait edge, and after if necessary it can be sanded to achieve a tight fit, it will stay in place and can be removed at any time. EVA/Duplon sheets can be purchased, £3 a sheet from HOLLOWAY AND HOPKINS. Paul, forrester
