Hi all im new here just wanted to know if any of you fish for barbel in kent. Im just about to buy a ticket for royal tunbridge wells as im told they have a good head of this wonderful fish, any of you fish RTW waters.If Budgie reads this i would be very interested coming along on any of your trips to barbel waters (i live in whitstable Kent) Tight lines guys

No problem Goose,as I told Adam I will be doing most of my Barbell fishing this year in late August and September.We normally go mid week,drop me a line if you are interested and I will let you know the dates etc.

Goose. I am an RTW member. Did a short session yesterday evening. Yes, there are barbel in their sections, but you do have to work hard for them. The nice thing is that some small fish have been coming out, which shows they are breeding. I am only just going to target them after spending the last 2 years after the chub, which are large, prolific and hardly fished for!! Happy to meet you up there some time.

Hi Stuart maybe when my ticket and maps come through you could give me the 5/- tour (thats 5 bob if you remember LSD). is it the type of river where it is safer to fish with a partner ,I say this as i do like to wade up stream if this is allowed. my e-mail is goose@go-fishing.co.uk keep me informed of your barbel and chub catches if you would be so kind.
