Hairy Angler!

Did anyone see the blue planet on monday night? On it they had a fish called the Hairy angler, it waves a bioluminecenc (?) rod about in the dark to attract a meal. It can then eat a meal of almost anysize due to it highly extendable stomach.

Are we anglers evolved from such fish? or just coincedence?

Speaking as a hairy angler myself, perhaps there's something in it.

I saw the programme advertised and thought it must be about Des Taylor, but wait! of course he's been shorn!
