  1. Fishing and wishing today

Around 11 am the hammering rain stopped and the after affects of a night out cleared, the temp was an unbelievable 11 degrees so I chucked my kit in the car and headed off without a clue as to which water to fish, on reaching Newton abbot the traffic was crawling so I took a short cut over the marshes.
ROAD CLOSED FLOODS read the sign in the road I was staring at wishing I had stayed home,as I was about to do a u turn a little mini came the other way "you will get through in that big ...

  2. Wish I had felt better....

Having arranged to meet my pal Dave Taylor at the club lake yesterday I overslept and woke up feeling really exhausted after a heavy wet week at work, not one to let people down I threw a pole and chair in the car and drove down there .

  4. Missed chance...... another attempt

Well the swim was vacant and that was the highlight of my day,the monster Perch did not show up and I suppose I was kidding myself for thinking it would.
at the other end of the lake my mate Dave gave me a call to say a large fish picked up his worm on feeder tackle and nearly pulled his rod in snapping the trace in the process ..shame that Dave is a damn fine angler but a moments lapse in concentration on a clipped feeder cost him dear he suspects it was a Perch.

so it came about that I went and having fished the pin and lobworm for Perch for the last month I decided on a bit of pole fishing for Roach on maggot at a venue I blanked at on the worm last time, all went fairly well but something was not quite right and I ...
