Shimano Catana carp rod

I am deciding whether to buy myself this carp rod. I am new to carp fishing. I was wondering if the shimano catana carp rod with 2 1/4 tc is any good, and will it handle carp of up to 25lbs. Also will this rod cast method feeders and other similar methods or is the test curve too weak?

I have had one for about two years and it is a good rod ,nice action and good bit of power when needed but at 2.25TC it is not capable of casting method feeders any distance.I actually have used mine quite a bit with method feeders but only gentle underarm lobs into the margins.As to fish it has handled several twenties up to 24lb and never let me down.

Will you be able to use PVA bag methods with it or are they too big as well.

As i said Mark fished in the margins at close range its fine but not at any distance it wo,nt handle it.Still a good rod close in though ,has a really nice feel to it.
