watch the line, can you see it flicking? i much prefer running leads as its harder for them to use the weight of the lead to get rid of the hook, and if they just shake their heads, you should get an indication. also a reason not to use tight lines.
tie a rig up, stick the hook in your finger and see if you cah push it out by pushing the mono onto the table....easy or not?
