at the moment the only feeder rod i have is a garbolino rocket carp feeder
which i use for bream/tench

im looking for a new setup for carp
most of the fishing will be either groundbait feeder or
lead clip and pva bags

dont wanna spend a fortune

and also need a reel to match the rod

advice please?

Yes easy to be a bit bemused by that. sense a tongue in a cheek there peter!:D:D;);)

I have an 15 year old + Drennan Team England Carp feeder..13ft..ideal for..bream tench, chub and medium sized barbs....and I',m sure carp up to about 10lb...

I have also just got a 10ft quiver rod from the Drennan Red Range..it's a lovely thing..will comfortably send a small/medium maggot feeder 40yards and a small groundbait feeder the same. Delightful forgiving soft action...a quality which suggests its as good as stuff you would pay double the price for (£49.00 rrp).....and its called a Carp feeder!!!! I got it because I asked for a feeder that would be good for decent roach, bream, perch etc..also useful on smaller rivers for chub etc on a line and my A1 tackle dealer (Edgeley Sports ..Stockport) recommended it to me. I certainly wouldn't ever regard it as specialist carp feeder..it's a good general light/medium quiver

It too will handle small medium carp I'm sure but I don't think its what feederfisher is after - I suspect we know why virtually everything is linked to carp these days in brand/marketing terms.....but lets not go down that route....again!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

If you're looking to get onto serious larger carp tackle at a reasonable price rod...the pro-logic ones have had great reviews

try here..

Cheshire Fishing - Prologic Classic Carp Rod

as for reels look at okuma's or shimano nexaves/catanas if you want quality at a reasonable price

Buy a barbel rod, loads of twin tip versions (1 avon tip, 1 quiver tip) on the market in the £50-£80 price bracket. Couple that with an Okuma reel, sorted.:)
