evening all ,does the moon have any real effect on carp fishing ? and how big does a sheet of water have to be before itbegins to get tugged around by the moon and starts to get its own sort of tide?/forum/smilies/disappointed_smiley.gif<he looks like patrick moore!

every body of wateris affected - its just you cant see it if its not large enough.

how big does it need to be? about north atlantic sized /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

So froth ,do you reckon it would effect fish movements on larger waters then ? the moon does seem to have an effect on lots of other crteatures behaviour? sorry i know boring question but if it can give an edge you know what its like man!/forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

but the rest of hte weather has to be right as well, if a decent moon coincided with mega high air pressure and a long, hot, still spell then it wont necessarily make much difference...

i never seem to be able to sleep on full moons, however, so far i haven't been caught howling!
