making own pop ups help

i have heard about putting them in the microwave is this and if so how long do i do it for i seam to be over cooking em or somthin they just go all weird lol

I make pop-ups by microwaving the pastethat I make to make my own boilies, once it has been rolled into balls. I microwave them on medium until you can just see that they are starting to burn.

Hey presto a pop-up. Maybe this is what you have heard about ?

Next time I have some shop bought ones i will microwave one myself just out of interest, see what happens.

just add cork dust or roll around a cork ball - it'll match the freebies then.

if microwaving, i use boiled baits, put a cocktail stick thru them (creates a sealed hole to slow down water absorbtion) and cook them in 20 second bursts for about 2 mins - or until they start burning. let them cool fully and try in a glass of water.
