Hi all,
I don't do a lot of carp fishing but I've been doing a bit more of late and was thinking about getting a carp rod. At the moment I have a 12ft Drennan Pellet Waggler, a 12ft Shakespeare Mach II feeder (3 quiver tips) and a Wychwood Tri-tip barbel that goes up to 2tc.
Most of the carp I've been catching so far are anything from pasties to high doubles. Largest I've had has been a 16lber and that was on the Shakespeare but the lakes I fish can hold up to say 30lb or so.
I have a shimano Baitrunner and a couple of entry alarms (not used the alarms yet) but can anyone recommend a fairly entry level carp rod that would handle fish up to about 30lb?
I tend to fish fairly open swims but also quite like stalking the margins.
Thanks
