OutdoorPAGES and the World Carp Championships 2008

From the 20th of October 2008 Bloemhof Dam in South Africa will play host to the first World Carp Championships event ever to be held in the southern hemisphere. Sixteen countries will take part in this prestigious event.

OutdoorPAGES will offer regular updates from the banks of the Bloemhof Dam to offer you the most recent results and exclusive footage.

Our focus will be on the official 72 hour fishing session which starts on Thursday at 13:00 (CAT) and ends 13:00 on Sunday.

OutdoorPAGES will update this section frequently, starting from Monday (20th) to Monday (27th). The updates will include photos, video clips and the results when it becomes available.

Just click the relevant link in the left side menu to view all the updates associated with it.

Immediately after the event the official 1½ hour DVD will be available to order from this website.

Yes Gert. I am surprised that FM did not report this event in more detail.

South Africa won of course but England came second. By the looks of the photos, a few of the competitors were cooked to a frazzle in the sun.

Sorry fot the late reply was a bit sick.

Here in SA the event was also not covered by any television station.

Actually a pity considering that this is a World Event.

But anyway congrats to England for taking Second place,, it could not have been yeasy with this heat here ???

At least now after the event it started to rain.
