I have a pair of carp rods and one of the spigots knocks slightly. I've candle waxed it and it's cured it but was wondering if there was a more permanent type of repair?

Happy to send off to a builder/repairer if it's something that can be done?

I'm also not sure if it's a true spigot....it looks like a put over joint with whipping at the bottom to denote the end of the joint if that makes sense?

Thanks

I have cured this on old rods by using black paint. The last one I did was with black nail varnish that comes with its own little brush. Just beware of putting the rod back together until all fear of it not being dry has passed!
