I am looking for a carryall or rucksack or bag to carry my carp tackle(small items-rig wallet, tackle box, leads etc. Any suggestions?

I use an old Drennan with the quick clips, no zips. Which I thnk is 25L, swallows up tons of gear. One of my favourite bits of kit

Look at the Korum range! An alternative is a fishing vest like The Orvis'. It's amazing how much gear you can secrete within the various pouches. You only know when you sink to your ankles in soft ground.

There are so many on the market and all seem to do the same. I have a Nash which is very good quality with all the usual pockets and zips. I also have a NGT which is very good quality with pockets and a top zippable compartment but at a third the price.

The Nash is more comfortable on my back due to more padding. You pays your money and makes your choice. Just visit a shop and have a look.

May I suggest a trip to your local outdoor shop far more choice than any tackle shop.

No idea, but a general pointer is to look for one with a decent rainflap, so you don't have to erect a bivvy or brolly at every hint of a light shower.

An original Whychwood would do me fine if they still made them.
Sadly not, mine is on its way out now after 28 years of hard use.
I keep looking like the op but it's hard to find one as good!

One thing I would add is that although the Nash is very robust it does not stand up by itself. The NGT does as its quite rigid which is very convenient when its sitting beside my chair.

Gardner Specialist Rucksack, stands up on its own and has an insulated compartment at the top for bait or butties and drinks. Has internal straps and loops in the front pocket for glug bottles, tools, etc. I love mine and you can carry loads in it. Has an optional shoulder strap as well as the backpack straps.

I had one of those in the past. Great item. I didn't know they are still in production. The NGT is very similar except that the top compartment is not insulated.

I think the Gardner will be a much better quality product than the NGT. I’ve had mine 3 years and it still looks like new when it’s had a wipe down.

I have the Aqua black series large model, great rucksack, plenty of space for overnighters, lots of nice pockets for tackle, waterproof and the usual aqua quality.

Stands up and stood the test of time as I've had it over 2 years now.
