I'm planning on fishing for carp on an old quarry pit for carp in the 10- 25lb weight range - the casting distance would be about 50 ft to the far quarry wall (brother-in-law has a bait boat so I may borrow this) - what rods would people recommend? TC, action?

Hi, I think a 2.75lb TC is fine and if it has a through action the better. Even a barbel rod with a TC of 1.75lb to 2.2lb is ok in my view, if casting is not involved or u don't need distance.

In my own little world
test curve has nothing to do with it - action has.

2 3/4 Century Origional NG's for me..... or if you can find the 2lb tc 11ft Hardy Graphite No.1's I used to have, them!
