Mike could you possibly take a look at this site maybe and tell me if you maybe recognise the socks you are referring too?
Would like to give it a try as I have tried quite a couple of things by now.

I can't see them on the website - they have a much greater range in store.

I did a quick search and came up with these...

There are 2 different types listed both of which look similar to the ones I have.

There's also some very warm looking down filled booties - not sure what you mates would make of them though!

Simple but works

Hi all,
a very easy tip is a hot water bottle, You don't need to carry the water or use your kettle just use a tin can and fill with lake water and boil. If this sounds a bit wimpish I hear Chilly uses this tip also.
