As already announced, the first meeting of the Warwickshire region of the Barbel Society will be taking place on Wednesday 21st October at:
The Granville Arms,
Wellsborne Road,
Barford,
CV35 8DS
Barford is just off junction 15 of the M40, between Warwick and Stratford upon Avon, on the A429. Just 30 minutes from Worcester or Birmingham, 10 from Coventry.
Phil Smith will be guest speaker for the first part of the evening, where he will talk about fishing midlands rivers.
Phil needs no introduction, as he has caught many species of big fish from numerous waters, including the incredible feat of catching double figure barbel from 16 different rivers in just one season.
After a short break for refreshments and a chance to win one of several raffle prizes that will be on offer, there will be a forum and a Q&A session. Regional Organiser Steve Barlow will also be giving out a small questionnaire, asking for your input on how you would like the region to go.
Entry to this inaugural meeting of the Warwickshire region will be free for both members and non-members. All are welcome.
Start time, 7.30pm for 8.00pm. _________________________
