HELP can anyone suggest a good place to get a broken rod fixed my much loved shimano 13ft float rod was busted when i got it out of my rod bag on the bank this morning cambridge area if poss thanks steve

If the rod isn't too old then Bryan's suggestion should be followed. However, rod manufacturers aren't like car manufacturers in that they guarantee to manufacturer car parts for 5 years after discontinuing the model. Tackle manufacturers don't do that.

Rod repairs can be effective, depending on where the blank is broken. A repair sometimes affects the action creating dead spots etc plus you'll simply have a old repaired rod afterwards. It might be better to swallow your pride and just buy a new one, but then it is Christmas.
