A Daiwa Super Phantom 14 1/2 metre pole with fully elasticated top 3.

Can't wait to get out on a local canal and try it out.

I paid ?350 for my pole.

I spent 3 months poling on local canals and caught lots of big roach.

The first time I ever used a pole was in 1963. It belonged to **** Walker.

Yes it was a gift, from me to me.

When I buy myself a gift Ed, Bah Humbug, doesn't come into it.

You go out and enjoy your Chrissy Prezzy mate. In some instances the pole far out performs conventional rod and line tactics.

Imagine the winter hours you can while away making up pole rigs too.

meadowhall, this time of year! only a brave hearted northener who knows no fear would venture to such a place. truly the pit of hell. what about a nice bottle of single malt,if they dont like it they could give it you back!ha-ha-ha!

thai green curry
8oz of any fish you like (chunked)
2-3 raw tiger prawns
2-3 greenlip mussels
1 tsp green curry paste to taste
1 tin coconut milk
fresh coryander, basil and mint chopped

fry the curry paste then add the coconut milk and simmer for a couple of minutes when the liquid thickens slightly drop in the fish selection and allow it to cook through for a fewminutes stirring gently drop the chopped herbs in a the last minute and serve with rice. carefull with the paste its redhot!!
