Swingtipping for Bream

I only use the sidewinder, Baz, when its very windy. You dont have to look at the floor.

I prefer to set it up about 3 feet from the rod tip and since you fish facing the direction you are fishing there is no slack line and you can look at the sidewinder with the water in the distance behind it so you can watch for signs of activity in your swim all day long!

I've had some massive bags 150lb+ on the sidewinder in Ireland when my mates couldnt hardly make out a bite on the quiver due to the action of waves and wind. Highly recommended to keep one for such conditions. :eek:)

Cheers Ian,
This mate of mine used to position it just in front of his reel, that's what put me off them. I will pick one up for the conditiond you describe.
By the way you can also use a swingtip on the river if you position it upstream with a tiny bit of weight on the end to give a proper drop back.
