It is and it isnt .It all depends on how you going to fish for them .they were being caught on the feeder or the method last year early to mid april but were not seen in the margins till end of May.This was down to the lovely spring weather that we had last year(we were still having frosts in april)
There have been some reports of tench being seen moving on the canals near Dublin .I would have said that there would be a good chance of tench end of March early April this year up in the Midlands and the West ,however heard on the radio today that we have a possibility of snow this weekend wtf .
Where are you actually going to fish if you let me know can keep you sort of updated if around Leitrim ,Roscommon and poss Cavan
