Warren,
Absouloutly wonderful fish mate and you are right to be proud of it's place in breaming history.......i know you probably won't be to bothered but it is a pet hate of mine that the weeklies print such small photo's of such important fish.......unless of course it is caught by one of their own "megastars"!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Warren......i was very tempted by the water myself!!! easy init..... ;o)

Aint seen the pics yet Paul. Friend said yesterday that the pics are on the small side for a fish of that size. Off to the newsagent for a look.

Top stuff Warren.
It's certainly a toughie, Brummie and myself have discussed it in the past.

Did you hear of the 17-14 out of K1?
It came with some other 14's and 15's apparently

What a fantastic fish, well done.

K1 ? is that a code ? Would a Kings randsom make you spill the beans ? (-;

Warren,

I was suprised they didn't give you a bigger spread (not exclusive to one I suppose) but at least you won in both mags. You still haven't given me the (interesting!)photos's from the wrong film I gave you after photographing your fish.

Have you heard from Richard yet. Am still fuming that Phil and Stef managed to get tickets last week when Stuart Ropers brother and I were top of the waiting list.

Heard about the K1 fish earlier this week. Were they caught by a carp angler?
Not heard from Richard yet Andy. Had a 15lb 2oz and a 14lb 1oz brace at the weekend.

'Tis indeed a super fish. Well done.

Must say Warren, your photo with the fish doesn't do you justice compared to the one on FM forum postings....you look such a Classical guy....you remind me of my great uncle Earwig von beethoven....

An absolutely stunning fish. And to have been caught by design makes it the all the more of an achievment.

I can honestly say, I'm DEAD jealous..... well done

Stewart, one always has a shave and styles the hair before fishing!!!
My FM pic was taken during a long train of thought on the nocturnal feeding patterns on the Bream.

ps, just popped home for some more bait!!!

Magnificent fish Warren, well done and keep it up. I got a bit cocky of late with my big river bream so I popped down south and though I could bash out a few bigger bream. Got my “come-up-ance” however, 120 hrs just for one eel, and on sweet corn at that.

Arrived on Startops on Saturday to find that the Bream Record for Tring had been smashed in the night by a fish of 16lb 10oz to a carp angler on a boillie.

Sedge your advice was good for my mate, he caught every evening and
got his first double figure bream. I didn't come away completely empty
handed, learnt quite a lot about carping techniques and how to adapt them
to other species. Being basically a river man I've never had to use a spod
before, so that was quite interesting. Thought I know a bit about knots
but I learnt a new one for joining braid after casting out 50M and whilst
I was adjusting my line clip I got the mother of all mothers birds nest. Again on
the river, no carp, I've had no need to use a stop knot on the line instead
of the clip. It all sounds easy when you read about it but if you don't
lay the knot correctly on your reel spool you end up stopping short and
life's hard enough casting accurately at night without those sort of cock
ups. We had a good crack with other lads fishing and quite a few laughs
and for me being basically a loaner on the river it was a very good break.
Coming back in the van I said to Matt that I felt that I didn't have enough
time, "but you've just had 120hrs of solid fishing" he say's "I know but I
wish I could have stayed a bit longer"
Why didn't I stay longer you may ask? Well the mother-in- law died whilst
we where down there and it was more than my life's worth to miss the
funeral.
