small notts rivers

Can anyone recommend any small rivers in the notts area. ( i live just outside of gunthorpe) I usually fish the trent and am looking for something a bit diferent. would like to try a bit of stalking for chub & perch. Are there any such rivers fisahble on day tickets or club books. Thanks in advance

The River Greet runs past some ponds iv'e fished a couple of times at Maythorne, just outside Southwell. It might fit the bill, it's definately small, in Notts and seems to hold a few Coarse fish. Can't give you any more info than this though.

theres the river leen

theres also a small stream/river that runs down to the trent past claythorpe which may be worth investigating.

the leen runs through hucknall and i believe it's under hucknall anglers control,don't know if it's day ticket though,been some nice chub had from it towards the end of last season

I am going for a scout around on both of those this weekend. Have also spotted another one on the map, its the river devon the other side of gunthorpe bridge heading up towards newark.
And just spotted another 2 called the smite & dane near mansfield & newark
