Hi, long time since I posted here.

Does anyone know a good source of scales that weigh up to around a pound?

Probably sounds daft, I caught some monster gudgeon the other day and my usual scales were not accurate enough to get a decent weight.

Thanks for looking

Digital kitchen scales are cheap and hard to beat. You can carry them in a small sandwich box that doubles as a 'weigh sling' for the smaller species.

Many years ago I caught what I thought was the mother and father of all minnows. At home I had a set of 1930's beam scales that weighed to half drams - 1/32oz - and so took the minnow home alive in a bucket. It weighed 10.5 drams, close to the record of 13 drams not that I'd want to claim it but those scales were spot on.
