IMO yes.
The main problem could be 'dodgy' anglers claiming still water fish were actually river fish - I fish a few venues where a river runs alongside and a few yards from a still water.

PS Bet if you caught that 2lb+ rudd you would weight it Paul.

Should there be a seperate British Rod Caught Fish Record for River and Stillwater species ?

The record fish should be the biggest fish of that species caught regardless of where it was caught. Nice and simple

The record is the highest attainable weight for that species .It should just be kept to the single entity otherwise where will it stop .North and South Stillwater ,Syndicate or commercial the list could go on .

There is definately something wrong with the BRFC. Should a simple picture surfice for a roach record - so long as it is clear and sufficient quality for identification purposes........

In case i get a record Chub (lol) I carry a measure, keep sack and could get someone up at most hours of the day..........:D:D:D
