My last rod was a Drennan Super Specialist Duo, 12ft, 1.5lb tc (which I've got a buyer lined up for) and I'm awaiting the arrival of 2 x Free Spirit Specialist Advanced, 12ft, 1.75lb. Beautiful rods. Can't wait til they arrive! :):D

preston excel 13 ft match rod-probably the best float rod I've had, quite amazing range of capabilities for one single rod!

Drennan Red 10ft "carp" feeder. Lovely rod..ideal for shorter range feeder fishing for roach and bream on some of my club waters. Trying not to buy any more "major" items (I have what I need)

Me too, but the 11ft version. Quite a powerful, through-action rod on which I'm tackling the local barbel (unsuccessfully so far, I might add) Amazing value for £50.

Are rods tested these days.

I bought an ABU float rod for £32. The rings were too big and the line kept getting caught round them. So annoying. I bought a pair of rods in a boot sale for £5. A carbon carp rod and one of those really cheap shakespeare float rods. Looks naff but, works brilliantly for fish up to 4/5lb. Better than the £32 ABU anyway. Doesn't anyone test these rods before they put them on the market?
