Hampton ferry-any good?

Im hoping to get myself on the warwickshire avon on monday,just looking at all the different stretches available this one has caught my eye before but never got round to going there.
So does the once called `mecca` of angling fish anygood still and what can i expect?

[back in the day]

Back when I fished this strech of the Avon 70s and 80s it was hard to find anywhere better, however it has change a lot since then, I haven't fished there since 1990, but I did to Evesham to watch an old mate fish a match three weeks a ago we had a good chat about how the river had changed over the years (and not for the better) there are some large Tench to be had in the margins on the pegs below the ferry also Bream and good Perch, above the ferry on the whitehouse bend you will find the odd Chub, skimmers and small roach, in the town water below the bridge there are some large Barbel.

For sure the big Chub large Roach and Dace that used to be there have moved away.
