Fishing the Wandle

Guys,

I've been talking to a friend who's been fishing with me and a mate a couple of times. He lives near the Wandle and fancies giving it a go. I must admit that it inrigues me a bit and it's free.

I've seen articles online about it being fishable these days and has some good fishing in areas.

Which are the best areas and what fish do you find there? What tactics are good for the Wandle?

well Ive had chub to 2 1/2 lb and lots of smaller ones roach & perch to a pound one 10 lb mirror one 7lb & one 11 lb koi a few small carp a couple of goldfish and also a small catfish never seen anything like it since? mostly fished behind eagle trading est willow lane and near colliers wood by the superstore with maggot and bread of the top

The river round near rail station (above weirpool). Loads of Chub, big Dace. Broken by powerful fish poss. barbel.
