Fishing in the Uxbridge Area

My job has moved and I am in the Uxbridge area and looking for good (free if possible)barbel (R.Colne)or general fishing in the area so I can do a spot before I head home also missing the M25 traffic! I'm based right next to the canal so will start there (not many barbel though!)as I can pre bait morning noon and night. Info on other spots etc. would gratefully accepted as I did not get out much last year and I've already sold the missus the traffic scenario and to be honest she is encouraging me to go for the R&R.

Most stretches of the Colne are club controlled. Uxbridge Rovers or Gerrards Cross are both worth joining.
