Best rod for trotting?

I'm looking at treating myself to a float rod for long trotting ? I'm thinking about Drennan Matchpro Ultralight Float Rod 13 or 14ft.

Of the two rods you have asked about which most seem to want to ignore I will answer from my person experience.

I have several Drennan's including the ones mentioned and know a few others who also use them all without any problems and all are very happy with them.

I personally do not like the way the Prestons handle although many do like them.

So of the two you asked about I would go for the Drennan.
