Ebay sellers do that when they are out of stock. If they de-list an item they have to pay fees to re-list when they get the same item back in stock. Cheaper to put the price up to something stupid and put potential buyers off. When they get stock back in they drop the price back down to normal. I'd love to know what happens if someone is stupid enough to buy at £999.99.:confused:;):D
