Anyone got any venues in south london near wandsworth? any lake or river? as much imformation as poss please.

Hi matt,there are lakes on both Wandsworth common & Tooting Bec common, but I think that are both control by clubs.There is a lake on Clapham common which is fishable. As for rivers you have the wandle at Earlsfield or if all else fails try your local tackle shop for info.

The river Wandle is good around Earlsfield area (Garratt Lane). I have had many good bags of Chub from there along with some largish Dace. I have also lost a larger fish which possibly may have been one of the resident Barbel. These are also known to come from the stretch around Mitcham market area. I have just moved upto the midlands myself and miss some of the waters down there.
