Fishing licence

The options for buying a fishing licence are 1 day, 8 days or a year (season) , might it be an idea to extend the options to cover say a 6 month period.
There may be anglers who start fishing when (and if) the weather warms up and pack their gear away as soon as the cold weather comes.
For such anglers buying a full season licence may seem a waste of money (even thought it's only £27) but if they could buy a 6 month ticket to run from the day they applied to a date 6 months in advanced might be more appealing to them. The cost could be set at around the £15 mark.
Would this be away to get more licences sold or is it just adding another layer to the process?

The EA could try it next year, as a one off, assess it's feasibility.

My son paid for his licence online weeks ago, never received it, e mailed the EA who in return e mail said they would send another which 3 weeks later has not arrived, another e mail sent today. seems it wouldn't matter how long the licence was for if it doesn't arrive through the letterbox.

Well there could be a 9 month licence but my original thought was to get those who don't buy one to buy a 6 month one

Can we still do this as i thought it was Post Office or on line

I did hear that they may look at a 3 rod licence instead of requiring 2 x 2 rod licence to fish a 3 rod set up

Always felt there should be a weekend (either 2 or 3 day) option with a licence.

We have fishing weekends away with colleagues etc a few times of the year and few of these lads fish outside of these. Usually means they have the hassle of buying two or three day licences which can be a bit of a ball ache!
