River Erewash

Anyone know if the river Erewash is worth a visit?

Preferably in the Nottingham area.

Looking for a smaller river and wondering what's in there?

Hi Fozzie ,
Have fished it for a couple of seasons now. There is some decent chub fishing and the occasional barbel around. Have also managed a few nice perch on lobworm. Travel light and be prepared to be on your toes looking for the fish as they tend to be holed up in small groups with barren areas between. Have done well on meat in winter and maggots all year round though the minnows can be a nightmare in the summer.

Cracking little river, fished it a fair bit last year, going tonight actually with the old centre pin.

I got sent this photo of a cracking Chub from the Gallows Inn stretch.
