I reckon Mick b is your bloke for this question but for my twopence worth flooded rivers and pike don't go hand in hand easily. There is always the option of backwaters and slacks but I would take the easy way out and fish lakes until the flood dies down and the sediment drops out of the water for pike.
What do others think?

Back water and side streams any water off the main run can be very productive. The bait fish move into these areas when the main river is in flood. I used to fish on the Thames at Mapeldurham beside it having a weir pool it has a mill pond below the weir this would be a real hot spot when the river was up. Sink and draw or wobbling with mounted sprat is my favourite method But in flood half a herring can be good.
