Carrying on from my float thread
I once remember sitting in the canteen at work reading my new book 'Billy Lanes encyclopedia of float fishing' I remember clearly the sentences at the beginning of the book
"If you have a pet float the best thing you can do to be a better angler is - BIN it"
I remember thinking 'screw that!!' Now , he carried on about the merits of each float type, shape and weight. Of course it would be a very dated read by present fishing methods however, its clear from my favorite float topic many of us still have a favourite or superstition regarding bait or that lucky float however ultimately he's right its only a bit of quill, balsa or whatever it's a tool that it limited to what it is.
I'll confess I have a lucky coat (yes i know its BS but) i noticed from looking at photos how many of the good ones i have this coat on, so lucky coat it got named. I also have a belief in certain groundbait mixes as we all do.
So come on lads spit it out, what's your superstition?
