When does this end? Ive got a day at the lake with no fish (it does, just not for me.... Yet) on Friday that's got big tench in. May be able to bag a big one. They came out upto 10.5lbs last season

Frame update.....

Tom Moran. 7:3

Graham Elliot. 6:13

Flightliner. 6:10

Jerry. 6:6

Nicky. 6:5 ( has done better lately but gone a bit shy?)

Greenie. 4:2

Flightliner. 1:14:confused:

Me. 0:0:eek:mg:

Peter, the 1-14 (confused) entry was "Binkered" , so I cry foul and suggest that if he submits a Tench in this challenge he should suffer the penalty of having 1-14 deducted from his claim!. :D

Just 14 days left folks, ends 31st Aug at midnight...

I think Tom Moran is trying to make some new boilies in order to increase his lead...

Personally I think he'd be better off fishing than sweating over a hot stove with weird and wonderful boilie recipes....

Let's hope I'm wrong.....

The weights are interesting. On the odd occasion I have seen reports in the comics you would think 8lb plus tincas were coming out two a penny.

Ha! Just something I fancy trying out over the cold season. I'm fishing Friday evening at the same venue I caught my biggest at. Tbh, I just love catching tench, only issue is its chock full of crays and they tend to kill a swim

I'm trying to avoid them by not using any fish based ingredients

Welcome to FM Graeme. Talk about a cat amongst the pigeons in the final weeks of the challenge but I'm giving it to you for now..Well done.
We would all be interested in your bait and tactics if you want to divulge details?
No need to give location providing it was caught within the simple rules set out in my opening thread, to be fair to the other contenders....

Hi, I'd like to say it was caught on the float but unfortunately it was on a helicopter rig baited with fake maggots and two worms over a bed of red maggots.
It was part of a 9 fish catch on a trip from Yorkshire to Oxfordshire from St. John's on the linear complex. It's well worth a visit down there if your trying for a double. I know I'll be back next spring trying for that elusive double.
